The Artist Muneer with "So Alive"

 Muneer music expresses thoughtful and deep messages. "So Alive" gets into the topic of not fearing death. Which is a heavy topic within itself. However, the song is about feeling so alive you can't even fathom the idea of dying. Those moments were life is worth living is how I could put it. Muneer's words about the song , " “So Alive is a song about not accepting death. It’s about feeling ‘So Alive’ in moments of adversity that you can’t comprehend the idea of dying.” He says even if you were to die in one of those make-or-break moments, you’d be free: “You reach for the skies and ascend beyond life.” 

Listening to "So Alive" , I enjoyed how the beat allowed his rap skills to shine. The beat was fitting for this type of song. You are able to focus on his words and take in the message he is trying to deliver. To be able to rap about a topic like this but not in a scary way is talent. This is why I enjoyed the song because it gives off that "at peace" feeling. More words about Muneer , "The Artist Muneer wants to leave the world better than he found it. He dreams out loud, “Call me a dreamer but my ultimate goal is to make the world a better place by way of my music. I was given this gift for a reason and I intend to use it.” Muneer says that he takes the highs and lows of the world around him and blends them into his work. He adds, “My artistry is empathic. I gather from the pain and joys I see humanity going through and I paint my perspective on the songs that I create.”

 

With lyrics like, “Geppetto on the strings just chilling in the back/puppets on the stage they all caught in an act/ … I’m calling for change but nobody calling back,” Muneer’s rap style is thought-provoking and lyrical.
